Review Profile: Avellemy 2016

Bellpenny’s sister company Avellemy, which provides our mutual clients with risk targeted, platform based, discretionary model portfolios has been following on from its successful year in 2015, by providing clients with outstanding service through the application of its key principles.

The hard work and efforts by the whole team at Avellemy means we have continued to grow as a company. To put this into perspective, we started 2016 with £148m assets under management available on one platform and finished 2016 with almost £300m across four platforms with a circa of 3500 clients.

Earlier this year, we signed Stewart Cowley as Avellemy’s Investment Committee Chairman, strengthening some of the key areas of the business.

Cowley most recently held the high profile role of Head of Fixed Interest & Macro at Old Mutual Global Investors, during which he attracted inflows of £2.5bn to the flagship Strategic Bond Fund. He is also a regular media commentator appearing on BBC Newsnight and Radio 4 Today. He also writes columns for the Sunday Telegraph and New Statesman and has held positions in the City for over 30 years, with senior positions since the late 1980s and became Head of Global Fixed Interest at Invesco.

If you’re signed onto the Avellemy proposition, you may have noticed that you’ve been receiving communication via email which has been put together by Cowley. Each article is designed
to cover a range of topics and provide knowledge and key insights into investing.

We’ve also been working hard to ensure that you receive up to date information on our model portfolios. We will continue to provide this communication throughout the new year.

How have the models performed?
